The Bear Mountain Photo Vest was designed with the need for keeping bear spray within reach as top priority. Not only does this vest feature a bear spray pouch, it also has a utility pocket for all the smaller miscellaneous items such as filters, batteries, memory cards and more. The MOLLE loops allow you to attach caribeners or additional pockets. On the back there's a large zipper pocket for a poncho, tablet, long sleeve shirt, etc.

Winter in Yellowstone

I was fortunate enough to thoroughly push this extreme weather photographers vest to the limits in the harshest environment I have encountered. Winter in Yellowstone. Dubbed the (Bear Mountain Lodge vest) it kept all my lenses and batteries safe and dry from the freezing -27 degrees cold and wind gusts of 30mph, while I slipped, sank and fell in snow 4-6 ft deep. What I asked for: I wanted to be able to carry two camera bodies with lenses(big lenses, at least 500mm primes) on shoulder straps(similar to rapid strap) so I could switch between them quickly. I also wanted to carry my Tamron 15-30(landscape), my sigma 150mm(macro), a flash, 7 batteries, all my SD cards, headlamp, snacks, bear spray and a gun. But they went a step further and gave the vest internal pockets for handwarmers or bodywarmers, a back pouch for things like rain jackets and rain coats, a water bladder holder that holds 3 liters on the inside of the back area. Pocket for wallet or passport, pockets for cell phones, hooks for radios, keychains, you name it. You can even hook a gopro to the shoulder if you so desired. All of this evenly supported on the shoulders and upper back. No need to carry a backpack when hiking or birding but you still could if you needed to. It's surprisingly light and made of mesh so it will keep air flowing during hot months.
