The Alaskan Photo Vest is not the Cadillac of photo vests....it\'s more the likes of Ferrari or Lamborghini!

It\'s as good a product as any gear I ever wore in my 14 year career with Army Spec-Ops, and we had the best of the best.

Top of the line materials and craftsmanship. Custom colors and custom sized to my physical measurements. It\'s a front-line vest all the way.

Have had my Alaskan vest for a couple of months now. FINALLY a vest that actually holds a lot of stuff. Not only does this vest have a great big capacity but it is built like a tank with top quality hardware and the open mesh fabric is cool as well. I love this thing. I have room for two good sized lenses, batteries, light meter, Color Checker Passport, cellphone, rangefinder, and tons of other equipment. The sides are adjustable. The velcro wraps for the straps are a nice touch. I added a Camelbak Lumbar Reservior to mine to make long hikes a pleasure. Worth every penny. Also the customer service is second to none.

I have been using my Alaskan Vest for almost six months now and I have found it indispensible. This thing actually holds a useful amount of stuff. A couple of lenses and an extra body is no problem. And bunches of pockets for the smaller stuff. Not only that but it is built like a tank with quality materials throughout; this vest will last a lifetime. Highly recommend this vest if you want to take a lot of equipment into the field. I will be getting a vest for my wife as soon as she determines the amount of equipment she wants to carry.

Bought the Alaskan Vest in January after searching online for weeks for something sturdy & practical. Have worn it now on a number of occasions, most recent being to a bird watching adventure to the Shetland Islands. I found the vest very comfortable to wear & easy to carry and pack in the back of a van thanks to a carry handle on the vests upper back. I used to use a quite large rucksack, but found that every time I needed something, I had to take it off, put it on the ground & look for the item. With the vest, most of the important items are easily accessible while still wearing the vest. The other advantage is that all your equipment is on you, not on the ground as one tends to leave the rucksack on the ground while shooting. You spend all your time concentrating on shooting & not keeping an eye on the rucksack in case some smalltime thief decides to run off with your bag. Walking long distances is not a chore as the padding on the shoulders distributes the weight evenly. The camera straps are great. No more having the original camera straps choking you to death! and hanging 2 cameras off the vest works very well. Quality of the material & workmanship is second to none. I can see myself using the vest for many years to come. Would recommend to any photographer who wants comfort & flexibility.
